I have roots in Scotland and North Yorkshire, but spend most of my time travelling and shooting. Being a photographer has taken me across the globe – from the Maasai Mara to Hollywood, The Vatican to The Gorbals. Along the way I’ve met royals and prime ministers, murderers and addicts.
I pride myself on having a versatile style and the ability to combine reportage realism with studio-quality lighting on any location. I can work quickly and think creatively on the spot, but never sacrifice attention to detail. I’ve been making real life look cinematic since 2002.
As well as my work with The Times newspaper, I shoot with high-profile brands, creating imagery that drives powerful campaigns and captivates audiences.
I am a fully qualified drone pilot. I can also write about myself in the third person.
