I have roots in North Yorkshire and Scotland, but spend most of my time behind the viewfinder of a camera or the wheel of a car. Being a photographer has taken me across the globe – from the Maasai Mara to Hollywood, The Vatican to The Gorbals. Along the way I’ve met royals, prime ministers, murderers, addicts, and a whole host of interesting characters.
My style is versatile, but I pride myself on combining documentary realism with studio-quality lighting on any location. I can work quickly, but never sacrifice attention to detail. I can make real life look cinematic.
As well as being a staff photographer with The Times newspaper, I work with high-profile brands to create imagery that drives powerful campaigns and captivates audiences.
I can also write about myself in the third person.
